Baldi's Basics (also known as Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning) is a first-person survival horror game inspired by 90s educational games. This game created by independent developer Micah McGonigal, better known as Mystman12, is not your typical educational game. Set in a creepy school, this parody survival horror game takes players on a thrilling adventure filled with puzzles, challenges, and horrifying encounters.
The player takes on the role of a student tasked with retrieving lost notebooks at school. However, things quickly become more dangerous when they meet Baldi, the eccentric and easily angered teacher, who relentlessly pursues them if they answer a question incorrectly. As players navigate the school's eerie halls, they must avoid other students and overcome various obstacles while collecting notebooks and uncovering the dark secrets hidden within.
The player must evade Baldi while solving arithmetic problems to progress in the game. Each notebook has three problems, but as the game progresses, the challenges become increasingly difficult. From candy bars that increase stamina to teleports that help make quick escapes, players must use every tool at their disposal to overcome Baldi and survive the nightmarish challenge.
